Vegan books I can't get enough of.
how can I say this without sounding like a dork (nope, can't): this book rocks my socks off (hey, at least I didn't call the socks vegan
). Yes, some recipes call for fake meats etc. but a lot of them don't, and well, there are a pienormous amount of recipes in this thing. Most people don't seem to know you can actually make something that resembles brownies in a microwave. And sometimes, if that's all ya got, I'd call that a win. I find myself coming to this thing time after time (yes I have a huge lazy cook side to me).
It somewhat baffles me why this book hasn't gotten more recognition. It is just such a beautiful display of all that is cookie. Definitely full of pages worth drooling over. I knew I was sold when I saw it and then tried to think of something that most cookbooks (even dessert or specifically cookie books) won't have - nanaimo bars - and behold, there it was, a recipe for these delightful chocolate wonders. Every cookie monster (vegan or not) should look into this book.
